An Introduction:
Children
have always been pushed aside, treated as second class
citizens in every country, a bias that has no justifiable
reasoning. Sheer size and age often makes people undermine
their ability and they are treated as half a human being. On
the contrary, a child is a complete human being and is
equally conscious of all their senses.

It may take decades before a child is given their rightful respect but until such time they will have to continue to bear the brunt of society and it's ills. Every ill of society directly affects children - Abortion, Family Disintegration, Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, War, Slavery, Abusive Child Labour, Drug & Alcohol Abuse, Disease and Urbanization.
We read UNICEF reports… we gape at the staggering statistics…and we soon forget all about it. Have we become so callous and insensitive? Why can't we be moved to action? After all we are to be blamed for their pathetic situation! We are the ones who have made their future insecure and horrifying, and it's time we began to change their future. Education can be the first step to give them an opportunity to transform their bleak future to opportunities and open doors for employment - Development.

The greatest hope we as people who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ can give our children is freedom in Jesus. According to Dr. Bryant Myers, Director of World Vision's MARC Ministries, in an eye-opening presentation, nearly 85% of people in USA make a decision for Christ between the ages of 4 - 14! Can this be very different in India? The HBI Child Development Centres are focussed on giving every child an opportunity to know Christ and also be educated. We believe that the childhood years is the most formative period in a person's life. We want them to experience true freedom early in life and only nurture fond memories. We strive to build a better India by teaching them young.
