THE TSUNAMI THAT CHANGED LIVES .. The day after Christmas 2004 dawned as a tranquil Sunday morning. On the shores of Tamil Nadu, the people were relaxing and enjoying the quiet early morning time. A woman, having helped her children with their bath, heard a loud roar and as she came outside to take a look, found herself face to face with a monster wave that threw her on to a tree and dragged her children into its swirling depths never to be seen again. She was one of the more than 300,000 people who either lost their lives, their loved ones and their homes. The deadliest and costliest Tsunami had struck. Life would never be the same for those who survived.
